Goal: Successfully execute the core Dry Hinge Method on a small scale.

Assignment

  1. Surface Prep: Select a small, flat, non-porous surface (e.g., a ceramic tile, a water bottle, or a piece of acrylic) and thoroughly clean it using isopropyl alcohol.
  2. Execution: Use the weeded decal from Homework 4. Apply it to your surface using the Dry Hinge Method. Ensure you follow all eight steps:
  3. Position and measure for straightness.
  4. Apply the central masking tape hinge.
  5. Remove the backing paper in two halves.
  6. Squeegee firmly from the center outward.
  7. Remove the transfer tape at a 180-degree angle.

Submission

Submit one clear photo of the final applied decal. The decal must be straight, bubble-free, and fully adhered to the surface.
